The main focus of the ECHA Stakeholders’ day was preparing for the final REACH registration deadline on 31 May 2018. Only one year to the deadline, the 2-day conference offered registrants, in particular SMEs, the most up-to-date advice, guidance and case studies to help them register successfully.
The event was held during 4 and 5 April. On the first day, ECHA offered training sessions on ECHA’s IT tools and also one-to-one sessions with ECHA experts. April 5 covered three main topics; REACH 2018 deadline, practical case studies and how to use chemicals safer in Europe.
Chementors attended the event. COO Jan Nylund, Reach specialist Maria O´Shea, and CEO Jani Määttä were present. “During the event, I got an idea how to help SMEs in more practical way to meet the upcoming deadline in 2018. We will publish more of this a bit later.” said CEO Jani Määttä at the event.
Chementors CEO Jani Määttä and ECHA Deputy Executive Director Jukka Malm discussed about the European REACH deadline of May 2018. The chemical trade challenges between EU and China were also briefly mentioned. Communication with ECHA continues to lower all possible barriers.
