F2 Chemicals Ltd, an expert in fluorination

F2 Chemicals was established in 1992 and has vast experience in manufacturing high-purity, perfluorinated fluids. Their non-toxic and non-flammable products carry the trade name Flutec and are known for having excellent thermal stability, chemical inertness, electrical resistivity, and gas solubility.

The Flutec Fluids are used for example in electronics manufacturing, industrial cooling systems and medical applications, to name but a few applications. F2 Chemicals also has technology for selective direct fluorination, in particular to produce beta-fluoroketoesters and sulphurpentafluoride compounds.

EU REACH requires an Only Representative from the EU

Substances such as fluorination products must be REACH-compliant when they are marketed in Europe. This requires extensive resources and knowledge of European chemical regulations and is often time- and money-consuming for companies aiming for that specific market.

To comply with Article 8 of the REACH regulation 1907/2006, companies outside the EEA must also appoint a European Only Representative (OR) to carry out their EU REACH matters. An Only Representative entity will then have to carry out the registration procedures under REACH on behalf of the company they are representing.
